This Privacy Policy describes how Jeff Vreeland ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our website and the Managing Like Jesus course platform (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

Account registration: first name, last name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash — we never store your plain-text password).
Course assessment: first name and email address when you complete the leadership quiz.
Purchase: billing name and payment information. Payment details are processed directly by Stripe and are never stored on our servers.
Course activity: lesson progress, notes you write, and comments you post.

Information collected automatically

Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps, collected automatically when you use the Service.
Quiz and contact records: when you submit the leadership quiz or are otherwise added to our contact list, we record the IP address from which the submission was made (alongside the email, name, and quiz responses you provided). This IP is stored on the contact and on the individual quiz response so we can investigate abuse, prevent duplicate or automated submissions, and respond to security incidents. We rotate (clear) the stored IP value after 90 days; the underlying contact and quiz response remain.
Cookies: a single authentication cookie (HTTP-only, secure) to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account and course access.
To process purchases and send receipts.
To send transactional emails (account verification, password reset, purchase confirmation).
To send course-related emails and updates if you have enrolled or taken the quiz (you may unsubscribe at any time).
To improve and secure the Service, including using IP addresses associated with quiz submissions and contact records to detect abuse, rate-limit suspicious activity, and investigate security incidents.
To comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following service providers to operate the Service:

Stripe — payment processing. Stripe Privacy Policy.
Vimeo — video hosting. Course videos are embedded from Vimeo. Vimeo Privacy Policy.
Resend — email delivery (transactional emails such as verification and password reset, and course-related communications including marketing and announcements). Resend Privacy Policy.
Railway — cloud infrastructure and hosting.

We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of others.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Course progress and notes are retained indefinitely so you can return to the course at any time. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the address below.

The IP address stored on your contact record and on each of your quiz responses is rotated (cleared) automatically after 90 days. The contact and quiz response themselves remain — only the IP value is removed. Other server-side logs (such as HTTP access logs maintained by our hosting provider) follow that provider's standard retention windows.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise these rights, please contact us.

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
